Build great products, be the most successful company in the world and have a customer following that is cult like. This sounds like an enviable formula to earning customers for life. Salesforce is not the company in this instance.
Apple has this world class reputation for success and product envy. It may not be enough nor perhaps should it be in light of worker abuses at manufacturing plant Foxconn. Customers may not be willing to pay enablers of worker exploitation. Or, having the latest, slickest and best gadget may matter more. Whatever your personal take, it seems not to be the ideal sustainability model.
